All the time...

Greetings to many dear ones on this final evening before our family returns to Cameroon. It has been a rich six weeks of family, friends, food, fellowship, familiarity. God is good!

Via phone or facebook or face-to-face or email, many of you have heard of our down-to-the-wire difficulties and prayer requests. God is good—all the time, regardless of earthly solutions or not!—but I want to relay a glimpse of His tender mercies:

1 - The arrangements we had made for our dog Sierra fell through 3 days before departure…and then a gracious dog-loving relative stepped in to offer to care for her. While this is certainly an act of charity, the relative has made us feel as though charity is very much secondary—Sierra is genuinely desired and loved already. We are so grateful for such a tangible, timely and welcome answer to prayer.

2 - Flying out tomorrow, we still have no renter…except that today (TODAY!) I received a call from a family that seems significantly interested. They made two visits today; certain other events need to fall in place for them, but this may well be another tangible, timely and extraordinarily welcome answer to prayer.

3 - Our support is not yet 100%…but yesterday I opened an envelope with an unexpected $3,000 gift! A number of other sacrificial givers have offered tremendous donations in the past two weeks as well. Tangible, timely, welcome again. We embark with lightened hearts!

Dear ones, thank you incredibly much for your intercession on our behalf. Last year’s departure seemed more orderly, arrangements tidied up with time to spare, etc.. This year it’s been a bit different…but perhaps a needed reminder of Whose plans are most timely, Whose provision most welcome. God is good, all the time!

Grace and gratitude—

David, Heidi, Luke, Gabe & Anna
