Perspectives from Luke, Gabe & Anna

Anna's Thoughts on Living in Cameroon

Having been here a month and a half, Dad sat down with Anna for a brief interview.

Overall, how are your doing? I’m doing great, really great. I’m doing really well. I’m having a lot of fun.

What do you miss about being here? Our family & friends, and more of my stuffed animals. Otherwise nothing.

What is your favorite thing about being here? Community & friendliness. In America it’s not that friendly. Also seeing and petting the baby bunnies at our neighbor’s. The baby guinea pig died though; he was only a baby.

Do you have any Cameroonian friends? Well, some that are part-Cameroonian.

Have you learned any French? Yes.  A lot or a little? In the middle.

What is dIfferent than you expected here? I didn't expect the house to be this well painted and taken care of. The airplane ride was also different than I expected. The seats were a lot less comfortable and just the way it was set up. I thought it would take a couple days to get used to the time here, but I didn’t feel any difference. I didn’t have to get used to it.

Do you mind not having much screen time? No, because I play outside all the time.

Do you think your knowledge or relationship with Jesus has grown since being here? Somewhat. I just kind of feel like he’s talking to me more.

Thanks, Anna!
